ZEE JONES – COLLAGE & MIXED MEDIA
Zee Jones is a Devon-based artist known for her vibrant acrylic paintings, collage and mixed-media work. She regularly exhibits at Umborne Bridge Studios, Colyton, and the Malthouse Gallery, Lyme Regis. Her work has been described as “strong, with a compelling use of structure and colour” and draws inspiration from people, the countryside and the coastline. At our September meeting, Zee will introduce us to her approach to collage and mixed media, with a demonstration in the morning followed by a practical workshop in the afternoon.







AFTERNOON WORKSHOP
The theme will be landscape or seascape, and the emphasis will be on experimenting and having fun with materials. Some papers will be provided, but please bring a selection of your own. Almost anything can be used: wrapping paper, old paintings or prints, magazine pages, coloured or textured papers and other interesting scraps. WHAT TO BRING A selection of papers Acrylic paints and brushes Scissors PVA glue A board, heavy paper or card to work on Anything else you'd like to experiment with, such as wax crayons, charcoal, pencils or pastels Don't worry about buying special materials. This is an opportunity to experiment, combine materials and see where collage takes you.
