Whilst working as a graphic designer for ten years, Peter attained a diploma in painting and drawing from London Art College and a BA(hons) in Fine Art from UCA Canterbury.
Exposure to Australian indigenous artwork has been an influential factor in Peter’s work, with the incorporation of pattern and repetitive mark making.
During a 7 year stay in Tasmania, Peter has exhibited in numerous open exhibitions and has had a solo exhibition showcasing graphic artworks. During this time Peter has written and illustrated a children’s picture book, as well as pursuing a passion for bookbinding.

1.5 day Workshop Wednesday 29th April 1.30pm - 4.30pm and Thursday 30th April 10am - 4.30pm
Mark is an experienced practising Artist and tutor who works from his studio in North Shropshire. Line and colour are at the heart of his work and this is informed through sketching and further ‘plein air’ work. Drawing is integral to the development of the piece and sometimes forming part of the work itself. He continues to draw inspiration from the landscape and adores using colour while interpreting the light, contrast, weather and a love of the materials. He works in oils and acrylics on canvas, board and paper. Mark developed his passion for landscapes and seascapes while growing up on the West Wales coast. The rolling hills of Shropshire and North Wales also enabled him to experiment with colour and line further.

Mark regularly runs painting workshops as well as being a tutor on painting holidays in the UK and France. He has numerous paintings in private collections around the world and sells his work through galleries in both England and Wales as well as through his website. For further information about Mark see www.brushmark.co.uk.
