Gala week one-day exhibition

A successful show on a sunny day

Monday Bank Holiday, Budleigh Gala Week and
the sun shone brightly on our One-Day Show.

There was artwork of all descriptions -watercolours, acrylics, oils, pastels, black and white drawings and 3D work making up sales of around 35 items.

Dan Glen  demonstrated watercolour skills and was joined by children of all ages who wanted to try their hand.

Also Jed's cartoon for kids to have a go proved very popular so there was a lot of visitor participation throughout the day.

With over 350 visitors, Paul Doughty and his brilliant team of volunteers made the afternoon a great success.
​The exhibition stands and paintings were all in place well before opening time and the pop-up cafe did a roaring trade in teas, coffees and cakes. A big thank you to all those who made cakes and the volunteers who were so efficient in the kitchen.

Where is he?

Most popular painting as voted by the public was Jenny Delahay's "Where is he?" and she was presented with the 'May Cup' at the Monthly Club Meeting by Joint Chairman,
​ John Washington.

All-in-all a really good show and very well supported. Now it's time to start our collections of work for the big event in August - our Summer Exhibition.
