I am pleased to report that our first "drop in" workshop held on Wed 14th June was a great success. Nine members came along and as it was such a beautiful day we decided to go out and about with our sketch books hunting "secret Budleigh"!
As an example I mentioned the Mediterranean like vista looking from the seafront through a gap towards Simcoe House. To which, David Riches said "that's my garden, would you like to pop round and see it, you are all welcome to sketch from there".
Too good an offer to refuse, so we all headed to his place, much to the amusement and consternation of his wife, who wondered who all these strange arty types were who had suddenly appeared in their garden.
Jenny Young laughed at me as I sat on the seawall sketching the view, thought I looked like a gnome!!
Anyway, great fun, great company and enjoyed by all.
Next session is planned for August 9th so if you want to pop in and join in then I am sure you will enjoy it.
If someone wants to facilitate the session then I would appreciate help.
