Volunteer invigilators needed
to sit by the Millais painting at Fairlynch.
As you will no doubt know by now, the famous Millais painting of the "Boyhood of Raleigh" will be on loan from the Tate Gallery at Fairlynch Museum from 28th May for the summer months.
During it’s stay in Budleigh, the Club has offered to provide some volunteer invigilators to sit by the painting for two hour stints to help with security and provide simple information to visitors. We already have several members who have agreed to help for the first few weeks and we’re now looking for more throughout the duration of the exhibition.
If you have a spare couple of hours that you'd like to put to good use and sit for a while at the museum, please contact Iris Ansell by phone on 01395 446677 or
e-mail her at email@example.com she will be pleased to agree times and dates with you.
Alternatively, if you’re attending the regular Art Club meeting on Wednesday 30th May she’ll be by the entrance door of the Peter Hall where you can put your name down for times that suit you. Information sheets will be provided and there will be stewards in attendance as well.
